EKWC – Camera Obscura Construction
The first step of my project was to do research at the EKWC, where I converted my studio and adjacent clay storage room to a camera obscura.
- View of my studio at the EKWC; positioning the spot where the lens hole will be drilled
- View of the clay storage room at the EKWC; a dark space suitable for converting it to a camera obscura
- Large water cooled diamond core drill and resulting 15 cm Ø lens hole
- Drilling the lens hole
- Widening the lens hole to facilitate a larger lens angle
- Tools for widening the lens hole
- Darkening the scene background
- Lens and lamps
- Rear view of projection panel inside camera obscura
- Lens as seen inside the camera obscura
- Setup in front of camera obscura (lens on the left)
